The New Guy…

Today is my housemate Rosie's 21st Birthday and several days ago I thought of a great gift for her. She'd previously wanted a dog, but as we are both allergic and they'd need a lot of looking after, we decided it wasn't the best thing. I obviously told her me, Graeme and Phil knew exactly what we were getting for her, just to tease her. She spent ages trying to guess, and after some sel-proclaimed amazing acting, I dragged her away from the scent of a pet.

The sun has set, the last note has been played, the fat lady has well and truly sung and the hero is dead. Whatever way you want to put it, this blog is dead. Flat on it's arse in a pool of it's own piss leaving a horrible yellow stain on my conscience to remind me of the failure of not even getting halfway through this, what seemed like an easy project. A photo a day, with the occasional blurb of my day should've been too much to ask from a self proclaimed narcissist with a tendency to photograph things. Alas, with only one post in the past two months, no amount of excuses nor blame can account for the obvious end. But wait, what's this? The dawn of a new day? A New song? June 29th – Day 177

I know I've been moaning about my pile of work I've needed to catch up on since I got back form Download, but tonight I finally pulled up my sleeves (I'm wearing a T-shirt) and got to it!

First on my list was Last Regards MySpace design I've been meaning to get finished for... well, actually I can't remember how long... I've kept running into stupid misstakes and today while I was sat eating a sandwich I had a eureka moment, just like the Capital One adverts, only not lame. I wandered over to my MacBook, started coding away and luckily, my idea worked! Within an hour and a half I had nearly finished what had taken me weeks to begin.

Today I was routing around what used to be my bedroom, and stumbled across more chargers I have ever seen in my life. I'm obviously a guy as every draw in my room has been stripped of anything useful and now every single one contains things typically found in 'the man draw'. Dead batteries, chargers, empty pens, manuals to camera gear I don't have any more....

I'm back in St Hell (St Helens) for a few days before moving day on Thursday like many other English people this evening, I watched the England vs Germany game of the 2010 World Cup. June 26th – Day 174

I should've guessed it... All the fun that was had yesterday. All the drinking, socialising, cake eating and dancing, added with the fact I Was getting paid for it, I should've known karma's vengeful way of evening the score would be bitter. After I posted my short description of yesterdays events, completely missing out the executive staff member streaking, the amount of booze and cigarettes we were allowed to consume during the actual shift, again, surrounded by execs and the sheer lack of work we actually did, I went to bed. Little did I know that in 3 short hours I'd be woken up by a phone call from my Dad telling me he had just opened a letter from my Uni.
